Nine was born in the Netherlands but spent his adult years in the UK pursuing a career in the Interior Design world as a gilder. Since moving to NZ he has run a dive boat and taught emergency medical courses. He is also a volunteer fireman, so is a handy man to have about. He speaks English, Dutch and a little German.
Sara was born in the UK and has a background in the art world, moving from being a studio potter to teaching, to working as a gilder and then back to teaching and potting. She speaks English and Dutch, and understands French.
What you get when you book a holiday with them is rural peace and quiet, easy access to some great walking tracks, advice on holiday activities and itineraries if required, fabulous breakfasts, interaction with farm animals, glow-worms and possums. This is the real Kiwi experience, classic NZ countryside but close to the amenities of town. You are welcome to explore all 60 acres of our property (depending on whether there are other guests staying in the Goldminer’s Cabin or the Glamping Tent).
You are welcome to come and meet our animals with us and feed then morning and evening, or see them in your own time. They are all pets and will be interested and friendly. Just mind the horns of the Highland Cattle, and make sure you shut the gates behind you.
